How do I create a wallet

Please follow these steps in order to create a wallet via email;

Visit https://wallet.venly.io/
Press "Create Account"
Enter email address and choose a password
You will receive a code via email, enter this code when asked to provide it
Choose a PIN and enter it twice (Here's a link with more info on a PIN code)

(!) Make sure to write this PIN down! It's very important to be able to access your account. If you lose it you will need to request a recovery PIN and this can take a few days since it's a manual process for our security team.

You are logged in
Press the type of wallet you prefer (e.g. click the ethereum logo if you want an ethereum wallet)
Press "Create new wallet"
Enter your PIN from step 5
Voilà, a wallet has been created

How to see my tokens in my wallet

Accepted Answer

New tokens are being created everyday, therefore it is possible that a certain token is not visible in your wallet. To add a token to our wallet please contact support.

Provide the following:

Token contract address
Token Tag (typically 3 - … characters like $ETH or $MATIC)
Your wallet address
The blockchain this token lives on

Adding a new token can take up to 24hrs.

How to find my wallet address and see my tokens

Please go to https://wallet.venly.io

The wallet address can be seen in the right top corner of your screen, it can also be copied there by pressing the copy icon

To see your tokens, just go to the tokens tab (coins icon) and if the tokens have been sent your way they will appear

I forgot my PIN

Accepted Answer

Our security team can provide a recovery pin. Please explicitly ask for a recovery pin in the support chat and our team will get in touch with you. A recovery pin request will be forwarded to our security team and can take up to 48hrs since this is a manual process for security reasons.

Your recovery pin will act as your newly set pin however it is advised that you change it via profile > change masterpin

What is a PIN

A pin is a 4-6 digit code you set to secure your wallet. You’ve set this at the moment you create the wallet. Your personal pin is required to perform any kind of transaction on your wallet.

||| Please note that if you loose your pin you will not be able to access your funds or any assets that is stored in your wallet !

_At any time you can change your pin, here. If you've lost access to your pin, please contact support.

How do I export my wallet?

To export your wallet:

Select the wallet you want to export.
Go to advanced settings (Gear icon ⚙️, in the top right corner).
Scroll down to the section: Export Wallet
Choose a password to protect your export file (which is a password protected encrypted keystore)
Confirm the export with your PIN
