How to delete / archive / unarchive a wallet?

A blockchain is a ledger that keeps track of all transactions that happened in the past and thus stores info about all wallets that interacted with it. Hence we cannot simply delete wallet info, coins or NFTs from a blockchain. That info will exist forever. We can however offer you 2 options:

1. Archive / Unarchive your wallet

A way to clean up your dashboard and (un)hide your wallet, but it will still exist.

Select your wallet
Press the gear icon in the top right corner to go to Advanced settings
Press the Archive wallet button
When you later want to unarchive the wallet, click on the bin icon to show the archive wallets and then click Unarchive

Note: primary wallets can not be archived.

2. Delete your account from our database (user info and email)

This means that if you do not first export your private keys, you will no longer be able to access your wallet(s) or any of the assets within after the account has been deleted. Your wallet and its contents will still exist on the blockchain.

Complete the following template and forward it to our support team

Dear Venly team,

I hereby request that you delete all of my account data from your database, including my personal info and email address. I understand that this means I will no longer be able to access my wallet(s) or any assets within them after my account has been deleted.

I confirm that I have taken all necessary measures to secure my wallet, including exporting my private keys if deemed necessary, before requesting that my account be deleted. I understand that my wallet and its contents will still exist on the blockchain and that you will not be able to recover them for me.

Furthermore, I confirm that the email address [Insert Email Address Here] is associated with my account and that I am the rightful owner of the wallet(s) linked to this email address.

Thank you
